Eyes Of Dreams

Your hypnotic eyes
From a distance still plea
For me to remember them by
I can only bow my head
Weeping in sorrow
Two oceans apart.

Unable to borrow
The only tangible dreams
You left behind
Of which I am unable
To enter.

I roam in the darkness
Associating with shadows
Unable to dream
Whatever holds for me
In uncertain tomorrow's.

I've been cursed without dreams
Since I last held you
In my tender embrace
Yet in my mouth
The taste of your sweet lips
I still carry.

With each bitter swallow
The salt of my tears
Drowns the sweetness of you
From my parched lips
In sorrow.
