It's 2:00 AM
The room is dark
My mind is at ease
Utopia is near, at hand
Blinds are drawn tight
Only an aura filters through
As light
Like a glow around the window's edges and crevasses
The clear full moon
Thats shining high, in the heavens
I am unable to see
My heart and soul
Craves to witness, the moon beams
That lovers often dream of
To feel the chill
In the night's summer air
To inhale
The expectansies of tomorrow
My body won't react
I am unable to move
As if paralyzed
My eyes search the darkness
For shadows
Yet they are benign to me
You see
Each night before I sleep
I recite
Words to my lord, as soft prayers
While I gently ease into dreams
To wait the first light
Of tomorrow
Watching it become today.
