You sighed deeply
As You laid by my side
Your softness sets drives insane
As your body is closer
To mine.

You turned away from me
When you should have kissed me
You wanted to talk about
Other things
To distract me
From making love to you.

Once our love was anticipated
As we looked
Into each other's eyes
The want was there
Our hearts tribulating
With excitement.

Our breathing becoming
Passionate
Hands searching areas
Desired
Lips savoring the taste
Of each other's sweet nectars.

But this night
In mid summer
With a full blue moon
Shinning it's silvery beams
Through blinds of despair
Was A cold one.

For this heart that craved
The love once shared
Stays awake
Staring at shadows lingering
Unwontedly.

Prolonging a night
I wished end
With the oncoming
Of a promised
New sunrise.

Times like these come and go. Been through it once, never to be through it again. I promised Tom true love forever and so far have kept that promise. He was my all and all. Good write and a new sunrise to look forward to for you someday.

William, chilling and all too familiar...as Tinka says, it is a reality for many if not most at one time or another.

Well expressed.

Happy New Year, just the same..or rather, especially, to you!

Luring and awakening. I remember once long ago......
You write vividly, painting a haunting protrait.
You are talented in this portrayal of love's longings and brokenness.

It is always so sad when love's flame burns out and leaves you wondering why...beautifully written William, you know I love it when that silver tongued devil, D'Artagnan writes!!

Carole...love and peace

"Gone is The Love" depicts a relation that existed by libidinal impulses out of the cirle of love. It sounds like a passion whose fire burned the last piece of charcoal, and the ash was blown by the wind of indiffrence.

I have read an outstanding composition through the lines of this poetic flower titled, "Gone is The Love".

I salute You, Poet!
