I see in a dream
Within a mist
Two Dark Figures
Sitting on a cliff
To the side
They're staring
At a coffin
Draped in black.
One figure was shapeless
Known as death
The other had wings
Both dressed in dark
Observing a coffin
Draped in black.
One held a sling blade
The other
Held within his grasp
A sword of flames
Hidden 'neath
Shrouds of darkness.
Ready they stand
To do battle
Both figures were
For the poseession
Of the soul
That laid
Within the coffin
Draped in black
No one around to see
Nor to mourn
Two Dark Figures
Sitting on a cliff.
For some reason this one makes me smile...will they fight over the poor soul? or will they simply outwait each other? Terrific setting and great invitation to let the imagination take over...
I can picture this...lonely canyon and two dark figures there. No one lives to tel what form death has. I have no fear of any adventure myself.
