I sit on a chair
In the darkness
of my living room
Shortly after
The beauty of a sunset
To relax the pains
Of this day's past
With the intentions of watching
A little boob tube
Before getting comfortable.
A strong feeling over whelms me
Thought
I was being watched
I looked towards the window
At awe I was, As the window
Became a picture frame
For the loveliset Full moon
I've seen to date.
I watched her
As she illuminates
The night
Within my domain
"I felt secured"
Wondering
What was she illuminating?
With the magic
Of her silvery beams
In the wilderness before me.
What creatures were hiding?
which were shaking
Within themselves
With terror?
As a predator passed them by
Stealthily.
What is crawling out there?
What venomous spider
Has caught prey
Within it's trapping web
Who will that slithering thing
Sink her fangs into?
On the glory of this moon beam night.
At a distant
From the dangers of the beast
Humans cuddle close to each other
In passionate embrace
Not seeking comfort
From the unknown of the night
But from the tenderness
They feel towards their mate
Awarding each other
Displaying emotional instincts
Produced
By the silvery beams
Of a new bright full moon.
Sweet display of the moonlight William. It brings to my throat "By the light of the silvery moon..." I remembered my mom's voice singing that at night when the kids were put down for sleep and there was peace in our big house. What a beautiful memory you've given to me this evening.
Thank you !

If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
