My heart you have distroyed
Shattered to pieces
Like broken clay Pottery
My soul's light of truth
You have extinguished
Tears no longer flow
Down the dry tracks
Of my tears.

I whisper your name
Before the last sigh
Once I finally realized
That your lovely image
I'll see never again
Before my eyes.

Now I sit in darkness
No shadows on the wall
Missing are the night sounds
Of the crickets and frogs croaking
And the haunting calls, of the loons
That chills me, to the bones.

On a dark night, without a moon
Just me alone
Sitting in a dark room
Wondering why?
In my hands
I am holding a revolver
Loaded with six bullets
Of caliber .38
Knowing that only one
Will surfice.

Leave me alone, and that is what first husband Mel father of my 4 girls did. He never talked to me but once after the divorce. He was so mad at me for the high therapy bills. Only time he cameand talked to me was at a birthday party of granddaughters' and I moved my chair away from him and gave him same silent treatment he gave me for years too. I forgive him now that he is in heaven too, but it was kind of hard. Anyway I found true love with Tom. Second chances do come around.

Thank God and Greyhound William. Until I got to the **Note** I was very fearful that something may have happened since I went on holiday. This is dark. I like your lighter and loving pens better although this one is very well written.

WOW!! William,,thank you so much for the footnote!! Pretty awesome for as dark as the words are,,but as we all know the ending of this way, is really not the answer,,but it happens so many times, if only they would give life just alittle time,,but who knows,,we all have to live with our decisions,,it is a truely sad, poem,,yet, holds so much truth,,clea

This one got me from the inside into my veins... I heard the shot... If it wasn't for the footnote... SIGH!

"A Decision Ends" kept my attention to the last line. I enjoyed its reading.

I salute You, Poet.

Long healthy blissful life.
