Sometimes I Feel Like A Nut

Sometimes I feel myself
In a deep pain of silence
With silence, I mean no thoughts
Worthy of scribing or sharing
Where there's no penetrating
My memory banks, my mental archives
Nor my thoughts an passan.

A feeling of demoralization
occurs at times, so severe
No matter
What beauty of nature
I might witness
Won't stimulate a muse.

In the other hand
Some days I wake
Desperately
Searching for my plume
So I may scribe my thoughts
Before they fade away
Like The darkness, before dawn.

At times,
I might scratch out
Five or six
Poems and other thoughts
Other times
I just mope around
Without the energy
To even think
Dry as a well without
The Ink.

I think we all get days like that my friend!!

But I always get reminded I talk too much...maybe the reason I can still go on blabbing...and call it poetry!!

See what I mean???

Sometimes that muse has attitude.
Your work is superb, regardless.

Artists, poets, writers, all creative people are sensitive folk, so much is influenced by outside forces as well as inner......A write here that I feel many at AD, would relate to William

Isn't it amazing that how the inspirations come to us at the odd times when we least expect them?

Apoet's intuition is absolute fantastic!!!!!

I have this at times, I still try to write, or just read, or just
do something.

William we all go through it...When you think of how much we write it's a wonder we have any words left;-) You have been writing some really excellent poems, so I wouldn't worry if I were you!Just go with the flow, no good forcing it anyway...

I know the feeling all too well. There are times when I'm rendered incapable of writing anything and at other times my fingers can't move on the keyboard fast enough.
I do enjoy your moments of inspiration. Write on...

Oh! This frustration is well known among the peers here at AD. I simply drop my pen until the whispers return. I felt that same identity with you through this pen.

Ahhh, the 'joys' of writer's block ... been there, hate that! Your muse is merely napping ... a good swift kick in the butt usually works. Her, not you. LOL This is a good poem, William -- very descriptive of the malady.

CJ
