Collection Of Ten Pieces

#1. Summer Blossoms
~*~
Summer means sweet scent
Jasmine Blooms everywhere
Perfume lingers near.
~*~

#2. Wild Flowers
~*~
Green up, Flowers grow
Scattered wild along country
Natures awes itself.
~*~

#3. New Life
~&~
Gently a stream flows
Rocky bottom roes do cling
Fry will swim someday.
~*~

#4. Song Of The Cicada
~*~
Hot Summer Day
Tree tops swaying to music
The cicada plays.
~*~

#5. The Predator
~*~
Field rodent is preyed
By stealthy creature in grass
Slowly swallowed whole.
~*~

#6. Coming Rains
~*~
Winter snow flakes yield
To summer torrential rains
Wild flowers blossom.
~&~

#7. Growth
~*~
Spores spread soil seeded
From falling rains life beggins
Reaching towards sol.

#8. The Change
~*~
Caterpillards Blend
kaleidoscope foliage hues
Metamorphose flies.

#9. Falling leaves
~*~
Summer ending near
Dry swirling leaf Of autumn
Sailing in thermals.

#10. Natura's Obsceenty

Profanity within
Carried in hurrricane winds
Destruction Yields death.

What a superb collection of haikus that reflect the power, beauty and changes of nature. I was particularly enamoured with #4 and #9 ...just felt such serenity reading those two in particular. Lovely work William. Love and harmony, Panda :)

Summer Occurrences...a wonderfull collection! I especially like #4! #10...well, I live here in the hurricane state...not too thrilled with them! Had to evacuate 4 times in 2004! Its why I moved from the coast to the woods!
