The Baby
Is soft as a cloud
Silent as the mist
In which he once reside
Alert
With pangs of hunger
Excitingly, wiggling at the touch
Of caring human hands
Knowing the pangs will fade
Sparkles
Within his eyes
Produced
By the warm loving feeling
From human hands
Gently holding him
Innocent is he, who depends
On his surroundings
Love and affection
Is all he desires
Coming from all directions
Found he was
Swaddled in a clean
New Blanket
Left where he, would be found
Without a doubt
By a young mother
Confused
Crying in the night.

Not sure if this was about a baby left, as in giving a child away, or left just out of sheer exhaustion...I have been in the position of leaving a baby, once I know they are clean, dry and safe in their bed, in order to retreat for air, so that I can go back inside to deal with the unending chore of caring for a newborn. Many a times, you feel as if the little one has sucked the life out of you, and then you go back inside and say, they are the reason I live!
Great penning here William!
I love babies! :)
Love and Peace~

As a human, it tears me inside out to know, young Mothers give birth feeling that desperate. As a Mother, it angers me. As a child, I count my blessings for having a Mother that cared.
Touching write William.

Sad but so realistic. It's pity some mothers abondon their child like this. Where has love gone, I wonder!!! Victor
