Woke one morning disoriented
Found myself standing
Before the bathroom mirror
Staring into nowhere land
A place where reality
Is null and void
Where others don’t understand
Cus they haven’t been there
To realize at first hand.

I felt as if I was
Placed on pause
Then someone clicked resume
And I continued
Baffled at the experience
This moment
Catapulted me into
Placing
A fear of the unknown
Where nothing moved
Nothing was thought
Nor said
This soul was truly scared
For I don’t want To Be There.

This could be a heartwrenching dilemna
Sometimes a warning to let others know for the best of another's health.
All the best to you William,

I deal with many daily that are there and it is frightwening they ask why, when , how , where, and I cannot answer them they lose everything and truly we cannot feel what they feel for we are not there. You have captured this one so and too well William....

I don't want to be there
But I have and is a little
Scary and if you revel to your spouse or family
unless they have been through it
They wont understand!!

I had that same experience twice. I was taking Ambian to help me sleep. I quit taking that stiff and it stopped. The whole idea is, like you, the image in the mirror was speaking to me too.

Being in an unfamiliar place ethereally where there is no stimulus or meaning can be frightening, I think, almost like an out of body experience when we think of the unknown perhaps? Hope this is fictional William...but creatively penned nonetheless. You left me pondering. Love Panda :)

Like standing in fron of the mirror in the morning wondering how the man inside it got there, the features seemed familiar, but he had an expression of bewilderment, like he too was wondering how he got there.
I was scared, for a moment, that he would reach out and touch my face.
The moment passed and I saw that I needed a shave.
Excellent one, my friend, make you think hard, and remember.

I know this feeling William! The meds I have to take right now, put me in a stupor at times, and I have experienced exactly what you describe, a sort of empty nothingness, and it is scary. Excellent depiction of the subject!
Love,
Eileen
