Sun shinning upon my face
Brings a feeling of heavenly grace
The wind I find chilled
Cools and refreshes my mind
The brightness of a sunset
Is before my sight
I strain and squint
A look ahead
The palm leave of a tree
Deflects enough to ease
My sight a bit
For I wish not to miss
The beauty it’s creating
Before my eyes
I think to myself
This must be glorious
For a condemned man
To witness
Before his heart beats
Silent.
great poem to ponder William, the doctor told me I was in the high risk category of a silent beating heart, but then again, I've never had a headache, still got my tonsils, and hardly get sick, so figure the math, anyway I guess we're all kind of condemed in one way or another. At least we lived to retire

Weird, where kinda on the same page today.
Yup make the most of the gift...
This is ,indeed , thought provoking when a condemned man witnesses a sunset or a rainbow just before he dies. I know his values must change at that moment of "too late."

Yup make the most of the gift...
Talk about appreciating what one has been given! This is excellent...
I also appreciate the gift, with which you have expressed it.

Much Food for Thought, William.
Contemplating a sun-down like our own heart before it beats into silence.
Great poem.
