afraid you're right William, in my book i covered bigotry in the ranks, the guys had a problem when all the short women started showing up, even though the department was forced to do away with height restrictions out in the field the domino effect was slow, some of them had a problem with the midget guys, it's a crazy world, the racism thing was pretty bad also from both sides. This one officer use to always call me boy when i was a rookie, then one day he stopped after i proved to him that i was just as good man and officer as he was

Bias will always be with us for we are reared with the talk all around us of our differences and who is better than whom etc. It's like you say William point blank, it is still with us. But it does come from each of us, not just one group and that is what we have to understand, if we're ever going to stop prejudice! Excellent write!
