Dormant Feelings

"Dormant Feelings"


I sleep restless at nights
Praying to God
To once again
Bless me
With the coming
Of a new day’s rising sun.

So I may know
I am not insane
I can’t wait
To again pick up
My quill
To secure the ink
Flowing from my heart
Onto this sacred parchment
Before Me.

That I shall baptize
With worded lines
Of these Dormant feelings
Dwelling deep within my soul
For I am cursed
Only to think, of your loveliness.

Action, drama and very poetic. The metaphors are, again, so real that they seem tangible to the reader. Couldn't stop reading this, William.
