Two Bikers dressed
In black
One wore a helmet
The other his long hair
Sailed behind him
Freely into the wind
could care less.

Both on harleys
North bound
On a lost highway
Deep in the south.

Two Night Riders
Not in the skies
But riding under
The blazing sun
Of a hot summer day.

Searching for souls lost
Who are trapped
Unable to exit
That endless road
Leading through
The darkness
Of that tunnel
With a blinding light
At it’s end.

Two Riders
Biking side by side
At the end of their journey
One rides into the sunset
The other into the unknown.

Like Ron Axelson, I am guessing too. There is a symbolism involved. But there can be diferent interpretations to this. Riding into the unknown could denote adventure. Still I love poems that keep me thinking.

A ghost poem of the Easy Riders, freedom, no time of arrival, no home waiting, no dog alert on the porch.
Just the purring of the HD 1200cc as we go along.
That was life!!!

Cool! I spent many a time on the back of a Harley...When I lived in Daytona Beach, Fl it was wall to wall bikes on Main Street during Bike Week. Once had the opportunity to ride in the parade, with my boots and leathers...Oh the memories!
Thanks for the ride! Hope them two are crusin' the right road! :)
Enjoyed!
Love and Peace~
Happy Fourth!

Was thinking Easy Rider, but the bikes and the end don't fit. Still a mystery.

Eerie. Seems a good start t a horror movie. Two bikers appear and havoc is born, when they turn to watch them ride they disappear. Interesting.

Got me guessing. I guess one of them is dead.
I would rather go around in circles in the
South than to ever venture to the North.
Hee, hee, just kidding William...
Yes, I'm captivated....

Excellent write! You've inspired thoughts within me so that I can write something this afternoon. This poem is not written in a light hearted way; it is somber with predictions.
