All American Footballer
Met a team mate
En Passant
While shopping overseas
They embraced as friends do
Yet this time. one placed
A soft tender kiss
On the other’s lips
Neither pulled away
They walked towards the garage
Chatting about their day
Embraced once more
This time a farewell gesture
One returned to the store
The other to his car
With a baffled look
Upon his face
Trying to remember
The telephone number
His team mate whispered
Into his ear.
