Sobs
(A Repost)
~~*~~

Late, morning's sun,
Beats, hot upon me,
A gentle breeze, in the air,
Nothing is far from me.

Gazing far away,
Towards, the horizon's way,
Knowing and praying,
In your arms, I'll be someday.

May I, be cursed,
As I, hear your gentle sobs,
Of a sad moment,
We rarely have.

Sleep this night,
Won't come my way,
Your sobbing, lingers in my mind,
Keeping me awake,
As I lay, here in deep pain.

Suffering,
From an aching heart,
My ears, have heard,
Your gentle sobs.

How cruel,
Could I, have been?
To cause, the one I love,
To sob alone, without a dream.

You know,
I'll be with you,
That,
One, someday.

There is love when one can realize they are the cause of someone's hurt and pain and causes tears to shed. A wonderful write and I thank you for sharing William.

To be the cause of those sobs hurts like the dickens. Making it right is the challenge, but ultimately it's worth every ounce of effort.

God bless you.

William, this is absolutely heart rendering, when you know you've hurt someone, it does hurt the mind and the soul. You've expressed this well in this writing. I felt your sadness and despair as your words lead me through the verses. A sad but excellent write!

William,

O, this one is sad...the remorse, the regret: excellent capture of a sleepless night.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I have many sleepless nights after I inadvertantly hurt someone. You never mean to do it. Sometime it just happens. And when it does, you hurt just as much as the person you hurt. You hurt because you hurt someone who didn't deserve to be hurt. I relate to this.

The most painfully thing is not to get hurt, but the knowledge of having hurt someone, even if we don't know how we did it.
A bittersweet one.
