Inspired By Eileen's pesent posting

Now What?

These past few days
I've been on idle, on pause,
Stuck in neutral,
Marking time like a tin soldier
On a parade field
Or stuck in a foxhole
With no one to relieve me,
Just sitting here shooting the breeze
With myself, and losing the argument
Posting old writings, I once presented
I didn't allowed
Enough reviews then
Just sitting here
Marking time, stuck in gear.

Oh yeah!! "How long can you tread water?" I've asked myself this many times. It's okay to repost. It's like reading a wonderful memory!

Hey, William - These times happen, and grab our soul like a clenched fist, but WE MUST RESIST! and Write what we are feeling, and how you are driven~ Will - YOU don't know me but a few words and thoughts and my deep intense color purple within myself! Want to write and stir up that muse hidden deep in you?
Let me know...

Of whatever you are feeling, I sense something reeling to be written! Just a thought, I hope you follow up on! I'll send you some ideas in a messg. Maybe It will help get you out of that rut.

Well, it looks [to me] that you're unstuck. Awesome poem reflecting life in all its 'loveliness.' I hadn't written much of late, but now I seem to be in a place where I can write - even if its goofy.

I know the feeling, William. Sometimes, it doesn't hurt to sit "in neutal gear" for awhile and "recharge one's batteries." Love and peace to you,

Regis

William you are never really stuck, just need to recollect yourself and we look forward to whatever you have to say.

Let go the damn clutch and you will be moving forward, that is if you aren't already in reverse and wham! there you go back to the past and those nasty days that you forgot.
Why going back there? better fetch a friend and a case of Coors and look at the Autumn leaves fall as you two shoot the breeze.

Sometimes, marking time is about all we can do, until we are truly ready to march on again.

Marking time is a needed pause in our lives sometimes when winds are changing directions and we need to get our barrings.

William, You are stuck, does this mean it's time for another collab?
Let me know, I am always game to write with you.

Gears are meant to go in first
It will get there
Sometimes we get in overdrive and then
strip our gear?
Stay safe William...

Hate it when that happens, William. Happens to all of us at times. May your Muse find the needed ammunition for your pen! Excellent!

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
