One day at a time
~~*~~

One day at a time
Sweet Jesus
One day at a time
Life should be lived
One Day At a time
Forget about the past, it’s gone
Beyond our tangible reach
Don't look into the future
For tomorrow is not there
Till you wake in the sunrise
Of a new "Today"
Still searching for that tomorrow
Of yesterday.

My Beautiful Granddaughter
Is demanding equal time
So here is another of her
Wonderful poems
~~~*~~~
"The First Day of summer"
It is the first day of summer
Wake up!
Let’s pump up the pool
And get out the bikes
Let’s ride!
The neighbors will say to their kids
“Wake up! Go in the pool
It’s the first day of summer”
Yeah!
It’s the first
Day of summer.
One day at a time - a lesson for us all. And The Gab is Good! Last one in the pool is a rotten egg!
The Gabster has written a superb poem for one so young. I can see where she gets her poetic talent from: her Grandpaw! Good on her; no, good on you! Very well penned, both of you! BRAVO! BRAVA!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
"One Day At A Time" is one of my very favorite songs! :)
To The Gab,
If it's the first day of summer and it's November you must live on my side of the world. I am not sure if it is summer here yet but it's time to pump up the pool and it's 2007 here. I think your poem is about the past. Luv JDM
William,
Such great advice in poetic form. Look to tomorrow only with great anticipation and not worry. Hold to the past as a reminder of what we have learned. Live today for the experiences you will have, (keeping love in your heart at all times.
Gabrielle,
A wonderfully written poem about the excitement of summer. You have painted a beautiful picture.
My very best to you both
Chris
You, two, are on the same 'page' Today. Today - this is what life is all about. Enjoy it.
God bless you. Kathy
Gab your poem is beautiful. I'll bet you are a much better poet now. Keep writing and asking Grandpa to post them here for us to read and enjoy. Kathy
William,
Yes, One day at a time, That is all we can do. Do not fret over what tomorrow is going to be, and definitely do not dwell over the past, live for today...You will be living fully that way.
I think you may have some competition from your granddaughter, she is writing very well at such a young age, Bravo, Gabrielle, lovely poem..
Peace, Love, and Light,
William,
There is a verse in the Bible that says something like, don't worry abut tomorrow, for today has enough troubles of its own. :)
And Gab's poem is adorable! Glorious anticipation of summer fun in wonderful verse! A budding poet, handed down from Grampa to granddaughter.
(((HUGS))) and love to you both, Karla.
