I tried to keep away
From images of you
Your loveliness dwells
Within the albums
Of my mind.
Thoughts
Of your Goddess like
Face draws me
To a certain era where
An aching heart awaken
Dormant pains
As tears flow.
The sensuousness
Of dark mysterious eyes
Once took a toll
Upon a lost forlorn soul
Now healing
Savoring dreams
Of passionate desires
Once shared..

A portrait is painted
A soul untainted
One can only see
what time has done to me.
I sit here, alone waiting,
for you to open your eyes
and touch my lips
with your artist's brush,
Knowing that moment has come
to once again unite
and paint our lives
with the brilliant colors of
passionate kisses.
Life is a blank canvas,
awaiting our caress,
to fill the whiteness
with pools of reds and purples
surrounding a brilliant yellow light.
Once there was blankness,
now there is vivid color
reflecting the light that dwells
deeply within,
filling our days with joy,
and our nights with passion.
Never put away your brush,
nor throw away an empty canvas,
for tomorrow brings new promises
to reach the limitless
paintings in our mind.
Reading this poem make me think not of two poets but a bullfighter and a bull, elegantly or fierce challenging each other, teasing, prodding, making it better with each encounter.
The blood left behind in the sand are drops of love.
