Still
~*~

The Rose
That once Bloomed

Is still upon it's host.

Still, the star attraction

Of my beloved Patio

Still Protected by prickly allies

Like sentries Guarding
Her host stem

The lizards Respect

The Natural Barrier
To her defense
Bowing

To her still magnificence

As usual, your poetry touches my heart. You write of a rose whose beauty remains long after it is gone ... so, too, with memories. Thank you.

God bless you. Kathy
