From Where I stand

~*~

That road bends

Around a curve obstructed

By that hill

Where I can no longer

View its destination

The action towards me

Does not alter

Anything for those traveling

Upon it.

~*~

By the bay

There, the horizon sits

Where in days of old

Was located

The edge of the world

I’m unable to view it

At this moment.

A swift breeze

Corrupts my sight

Carrying a mist

Where I can no longer

See the fine line

That constructs the horizon.

~*~

I am unable to observe

The sailing ship sailing

Towards

An unknown destination

Disappearing into the infinity

Of the unholy fog

Like a ghost.

~*~

I am blest

By the glorious sun setting

Over the mountain range

Before me.

~*~

Standing like a sentry

Separating the dusk

From the velvet darkness

Of the night.

~*~

Leaving me

Standing all alone

Under the silvery beams

Of the beautiful brightness

Of a full moon

~*~

Descriptions beyond compare. This is a lovely write, the mist, the water, the moon, and you enjoying it so much. It takes a dreamer to make up the world sometimes and this is so much more comparable to some other writes I have read. Good. **********

William, this poem speaks so much to me. I can feel exactly what you were feeling when you wrote this. I know not the depths of your emotions, but I can feel all of them. This moon was exceptionally beautiful wasn't it. It is the Scorpio moon, and that is magical all in itself. You words are just so magnificent just like this moon..
Much peace, love, and light,

There are things we see and things we cannot see
at a given moment in time. Many images to express
such feelings in your poem.

William, unable to see some of the beauty one once saw, but "still" able to enjoy the beams of a full moon, and knowing, there is still hope in life regardless of the obstacles. The images in this are magnificent. I truly enjoyed this.

The soul of a Saguaro cactus, telling us of the solitude but also of the happenings around, the relentlessnes of a scorching sun, a breeze full of dust and the caresse of a full moon when the world at last go quite.
