Also Included is a treat From my Granddaughter Brianna One Of The Twins

Morning Son

The Morning Son I know

Rises not from the eastern

Edge of the world

We now know as the horizon.

Nor does it wake

Early in the morning

Unless of cause there’s a quake

He is the seed of my son

Or my grand.

Sport minded

Great at what he does

A Jock at heart

Numb minded as one

No sense, no feelings

So some say

I say dumb as a jock.

Trampled on the grid

Practice mind you

Injured

To the bone by a numb skull

Wearing

Metal cleats.

Refused to be stitched

At the moment of occurrence

Continuing to train

No pain, no gain.

Several hours later

Found himself in an O R

Waiting to be mended

Some say,

No sense, no feelings

I say dumb as a jock.

With five stitches on his knee

He still rocks

Like those in his head.

Dreamer

By Brianna Lodato

(One of my ten  year old twins granddaughter)

07/13/08

Dreamer is the horse I ride at camp.

He is so sweet and nice.

He is very sensitive and is so awesome.

 Dreamer is an old horse

 But can do really good

 if someone is riding him.

Today was my first day riding him.

 Yesterday, I rode Andi an

She was good but, I think Dreamer is better

.

I had the coolest day today.

When I was trotting with him

 I started to canter.

 Later on, we did showmanship

He did really well.

We had to trot around the cones.

Sometimes it’s really scary

You think they might step on your feet.

 I really love Dreamer

He is probably one of the best horses

 I have EVER ridden.
