Thoughts of a lonely man

(Fiction)

 

I can no longer write

About love

Nor about the beauty

Nature displays

Before my vision

As I awe

At it’s every sunset.

 

 

I feel blest

That I am alive

How do I know

I am alive?

Cause I feel pain

The pain of loneliness

Within my heart.

 

 

Which at the moment

Is my only inspiration

At hand

Guess I should be happy

That I am able to hang on

To loneliness so well

Instead of hanging

At the end of a rope

Out of loneliness.

I also am glad to hear this if fiction William as to be sad and lonely is no way of life when there is so much love out there. Thank you for sharing.

I like the realistic way you portray loneliness in this poem. Loneliness is a lot like depression - it consumes you whole. Nicely done!
