The Stranger Relaxation Overpowered me Stripped of belongings Laid on a roll away bed With just my dignity Left. Warm and comfortable Wheeled into a room With no name, no gloom Nothing From that moment on Seemed the same. Surrounded by half covered faces Eyes filled with compassion Voices soothing my soul. Sedation interjected the scene Before fading to black I was blest, there I’ve seen A man out of place Wore no sterile garbs Nor mask. Stood out like a sore thumb Behind the surgeon A snow white robe he wore Like the wings of a dove. Radiating An aura about him Calmness over whelmed me The Stranger Had an arm around The surgeon The other arm guided The Scalpel That intruded upon My Flesh. No one there knew Nor was able to answer Questions Referring to The Stranger Near my bed That now possesses my thoughts. By: William Bonilla “D’Artagnan” 05/01/08

Wow what a beautiful write and whether imaginary or real it gives one the idea you truly believed as I did during my heart surgery. For the hand of an angel or God himself had to be there guiding the surgeon's hand with you and with me. Lovely write William and a gift to all who read it. Love, Bonnie
