A Love Revived Oh how I wish My lips were pressed Against the tenderness of yours As I hold you tight I feel the beat of your heart Trembling against my chest As we kiss passionately. The gyration of our bodies Awake the beast that dwells Within my soul Once thought dormant Until the day you walked into My life. Where will this burning passion Between two lovers lost Takes us to But to the edge of infinity Were only we dare To reach the ecstasy Promised to us within the stars Release those branded words Burdening your loving heart Release them I whisper once more Allow this night To accompany our travels As we ride the comet To the waiting Eden Of our passions destination. A poem such as this is a testimony that love never "sleeps" even in the senior years - and it's lovelier the second (third) time around.
