It was His destiny
To be born
On a clear and silent night
Long before men, were thought of;
Long before The All Mighty declared
"Let there be light".

The occasion was so sacred;
God, in His glory
Graced mankind
With His message
On a chill, and silent night.
The heavens came alive with stars
The scent of wild flowers was everywhere.

A Shepherd's flock gathered calm
As he drifted to sleep
A few moments past
As he awoke from restful dream.

A nursing ewe, said to him,
Do you hear, what I hear?
The Child was born tonight"

Said the sheep, to the shepherd boy

Startled! He jumped to his feet
Knowing he was not asleep
A wolf lost within a mist
Looked at the shepherd, said to him
"Do you hear what I hear?
The child was born tonight"

Said the wolf to the shepherd boy

A donkey notched him
Said to the shepherd boy,
"Do you see what I see?
That bright star, it will show us way
Come! Climb on top of me

We'll follow that stat
Said the donkey to the shepherd boy

Let us rejoiced.

The shepherd boy mounted the donkey
To praise the Child

That was born on this chill silent night
All the animals followed
The bright star on a journey
To see the Child that was born
On the night
The animals talked.
