I tried today once again

As I have done

A thousand times before

To attempt easing you

Out of my tormented mind

It pains my heart

That you are not here

It’s been like that now

For so many years.

When wills my heart

Regain its normal beat?

I’ve become weary

When you sail though

My loving thoughts of you

My heart always skips that beat

Like clock work.

Am I to be confined?

In a cell within

My exhausted mind?

I can not construct

Bars to imprison myself

To keep you out

Cause you bring a smile

Upon these lips, shat still carve

The sweetness of your breath

And the tenderness of your lips.

Will I go insane?

Here eternally wishing

You in my presence

Am I a candidate?

For a padded cell within

The wall of a cuckoos nest.

Talk to me

When will my fingers

Once again

Caress your silken golden hair

Like the comb of a siren,

Will you ever sing to me?

Mesmerized me

As you done so many times before

Will you somehow find me?

I look for you in my every dream

And every evening I witness

Glorious sunset

As I pace my lonesome soul

By the sea shore hoping to hear

Those gentle loving songs.

I look towards the dark horizon

Where the full moon reflects

It illuminating loveliness

Praying tonight

I might see once again

Your silhouetted figure

Slowing descending, silently

Into the deep sea

Until your beautiful tail

Is out of my sight.

But you are not there

I am here

Where they say, I am insane
