Lost In My Loneliness

Lost In My Loneliness

I just witnessed
A beautiful sunset
Once the orange sphere
Disappears into the horizon
Beyond the hills
That surrounds me.
~*~

A reddish hue plays havoc
With the clouds sailing by
As the approaching darkness
Bears with it
A strange fear of the loneliness
That dwells in my heart
And in the deafening silence
Awaiting me
Within an empty house
Where my soul wanders through
The empty corridors
Of my mind.
~*~

Alone again
Her scent lingers in the air
In a room where her loveliness
Was present
Her pillow I embrace
As I slowly drift
To a heavenly sleep
Where there she awaits me
In my dreams.

sounds similar to my thoughts on my dear departed Tom. I do get lonely and cry lots and think lots like this.

some people chase the dream of unity with another all their lives to no avail... but here in "lost in my loneliness" the fulfilled soul suffers from the deep pain of unity separation... so beautifully expressed herein, as always, william.
