It's Painful

It’s Painful

~*~

 

Oh! My darling

Please take it out

She cried out softly

It hurts too much,

It ached my heart

For I was aware

Of the pain, I was causing

Though

I was doing it, as gently

As all possible

Comforting her

I sat her on my lap,

Sweetheart your hurting me

She repeated

I kissed a single tear

Escaping her eyes.

I kissed her once again

Whispering

Let me do it one more time

Promising it won’t hurt

This time we’ll do it

Under a light,

Be gentle with me my love

She tearfully begged

I slowly took

Her finger in my hand

Attempting

To remove the rose thorn

That was causing the pain

Extracting it, I sealed it

With a tender kiss

Whispering

I Love You.

This is a tender poem, and you used a picture that I have used myself, I love this photo!
I am doing Beauty and The Beast and the Rose is a very important prop in this story..It is the symbol of undying love..
