 Dying Alone

~*~
My feelings disappeared
Like tear drops in the rain
My heart aches eternally
From the pierced arrows
Of Cupid’s Bow.
My eyes glazed, close
My Lord above calls
With your image in mind
Your lips I shall not taste
For mine can only sigh
The loveliness of your name.
You’re absent from my side
As I exhale
My final breath
He who is near, is called 
Death.

A powerful poem, William. It's as if you were speaking from your own deathbed--an admirable feat of empathy for an author.

it is a very sorrowing feeling to know of someone dying alone
I most recently was apart of a passing as I held her hand
and she told me she will be coming to see me in a few days...

oh my! In a strange way this is a love poem that strikes the heart...but in another strange way, your thoughts take you - and your reader - to a lonely place of wistful sorrow. As a poem, this is highly effective, but my dear d'Artagnan: scold your mind and put your thoughts on a track to better places, would you?
