The Visit Is a beautiful voice I hear Coming from the darkness Said my brother incoherentyl who is half blind Upon my vist To the nursing home He resides within Referring to the voice Of the beautiful Activities Director. I understand your feelings William...it broke my heart every time we visited my mother-in-law at the home...so many sad, lonely faces...far too many empty looks.....very touching poetry!

I visited my uncle last year in his assisted living apartment. He is near blind and has a keen ear, but welcomed me heartily and walked me out to my car after we talked. He will be 101 this December. We all have different ways of going out. Some do it better than others.
