*The Sparrow & Dragonfly* ~~~~~~ I sat to rest* For a second wind To breathe at ease While laboring In my Enclosed garden Looking up thought Towards the screen I saw a sparrow Perch atop she looked at me Then banked into a dive Exiting stage left Towards the grass she reappeared To show her trophy A dragonfly As if She was offering it To me I smiled and thankfully Wave her off Indicating I was alright She disappeared Into a nearby tree To feed her prize Of desperate hungry chicks. 　 By: William Bonilla “D’Artagnan” 10/29/2012

And I thought dragonflies ate sparrows! Or at least mosquitoes the size of sparrows.

Your poem catches nature in action. I like that kind of poem.

Nice work sending the sparrow inflight and coming back with a fat, juicy dragonfly. Yummy. Nice of her to make the goodwill gesture, but those chicks come first, don'ja know. Enjoyed.
