William I swear, I can't sit down an write a poem. lots of times it festers from a really great line then swells from there into a full fleged work. Don't worry.

Whenever I feel like that, I simply close my eyes and imagine that I've just won the powerball...just think, $500 Million, and I was the only winner. Sadly, I realize...I forgot to buy the ticket. At least now I can smile at the blank parchment.

I guess that's why I never feel like I "must" write. I just wait for inspiration and sometimes, it takes different forms. I love senryu and haiku because they are short and yet can be impactful. I keep a digital recorder under my pillow because often, inspiration comes in the middle of the night between dreams. Love, inspiration, and peace to you, William,
