*Confused, where am I going?* **~~~~~~* My attention span Seems to be deteriorating Escaping the crevasses Of my once creative thoughts Leaving me like dry leafs In autumn Caught within a vortex On a clear windy day. Words not falling Into place Like they once did Making straight uniform lines Like soldiers waiting To be inspected. Verses not rhyming Like the sweet songs Of the mockingbird Welcoming the rising sun Of a beautiful day. Lately my focus has been On the beauty Of her outer soul Smiling with the serenest The Gods above Blessed her with. I can read all the happy Moments Written on the softness Of her heavenly face Moments We once shared Since we exchanged vows On the happiest day Of our lives. A moving account of the symbiosis shared by two, and what loss brings to the creative spirit when only one is left to tell the tale.
