I Wrote A Poem
~~~*~~~
I wrote a poem
Disappeared somewhere into
Cyber space
Clicked something or Another
I wasn't supposed to.
Disappointed me
Can't remember it all
There were subjects Of love,
hate, good and bad .
Mentioned something
About the reaper
Leering at me through eye
Of another
Who chanted incoherently
Unknown words
I prayed
He wasn't courting me.
I stand with one foot
On solid ground
The other just above a
A banana peel,
Well done, William...I sure get your frustration...there's a giant pit somewhere in cyberspace where lost writing lingers til the end of time....
A lot of angst expressed in a few short words. In reality, the Grim Reaper is always looking over every one of our shoulders. I choose to ignore him in favor of living each day to the fullest rather than checking to see if I'm stepping on a banana peel.
or if I say to myself, I'll write that down
later cause it is so awesome I will remember
I've done that as well. I can never write it again as I did at first. I did enjoy this poem though!
Love ya!
Oh, heavens to mergatroid (s) have I ever been there. There is an empty void which immediately works its way into your chest. And you, a least I, can never rewrite it as it was.
Well expressed about the distress William...
I try to save the work right away but when a storm hits my computer quits,
I have fits and all
I can say is "OH SH.##.!.!!"
I know that feeling, William. I keep a digital recorder under my pillow because some of my best "poetic" thoughts occur just before I fall asleep or when I wake up in midst of night. I just speak them and transcribe them to text later. Love and peace,
Regis
It can be frustrating when you lose work by pressing the wrong button.
Just one little hop and you'll miss that banana peel.
