A Poet's lost
Once upon a time
A poet realized
Time had caught up
With him
There is no escape
Only the inedible.
The words he scribe
Were released from his mind
Watered down
No longer the words
weaved became elegant
To its verses.
His scenes
Had no kaleidoscope
Effect
For he had lost
His creative thoughts
Along the way
Searching for more time.
Time was there
All along
Waiting for him
He was like the wind
Changing
Time was like the ocean
It always remains.
A very human concept of life, and "Time had caught up with him" is a truth - both natural and inevitable. A remarkable poem that ignites in us a lot of reflection and challenges regarding health choices. Word choice is exceptional and message truly meaty.

I like the double meaning in the word "inedible." Keeping that weight down will heal all kinds of ailments and encourage you to exercise and do the rest. Eventually everything will give out, but for now, your new persona will fuel your brain as well when you can take your mind off all those ills and bills brought on by too much lard.
