Nature Meets Passion

The garden needs tending
The sun is high
The heat sweltering
The breeze is naught
Humidity drifting
From the north.

The soothing flute music
Quenches my soul
I breathe slow and deep
At the moment
It’s laborious for me.

I sweep the dry leaves
To the rhythm
Of the flute
With a slow cadence
And sure footed as a mule.

The crunching sound
Of the dry leaves
Offers a background
Melody
As they scrape
Against the concrete
Beneath my feet.

Beads of sweat accumulate
Upon my naked shoulders
The sun beats down hard
All the distractions
Surrounding
My occupied space
Like the ocean tide
I can not hold back
My thoughts of your
Loveliness.

Our souls though apart
Beat to the hums
Of passionate distant drums
When sweaty bodies
Entangled in the humidity
Of a summer’s night heat
We made soft sensuous love
To the melodies
Of soothing flutes
Till the first sign
Of day light.

Those flute melodies are some of the most beautiful and sensual sounds anyone could hear. And the sweltering heat of a "can't sleep" night is an open invitation to hot, sweaty lovemaking. Still being turned on after all all these poems.

Sentimental, it sure is, and after all the enactment it ends on a joyous note.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
