Murmurs of Echoes
Of your name I hear
Within my thoughts
I lay my head
Upon a pillows’ rest.
My loneliness is surrounded
By the warmth
Of a summer night
Drowning in self pity.
Winds whisper through
A window pane’s crack
Echoing your name
Deep within my mind.
I vision the mysteriousness
Of beautiful ebony eyes
Silently speaking to me
Of your aching heart
Since we’ve been apart.
I toss restlessly towards
Drawn blinds
Observing silvery rays
Slithering in
From the glow of an outside
Pale blue full moon
Stealing it’s share of darkness
Lightening the pain
In my heart
The sound of your name
Will never be the same.
It is misery tenfold, my friend, to have found perfection and realize after all it wasn't as perfect as we thought. Still, we can never seem to let it completely go.
The ole D'Artagnan is back!
Love this tenderly woven poem, one of your best!
Inspires me very much.
Peace, love and light,
Amber
And so am I. Well done.

Since we’ve been apart."
A sad write with a glimmer of hope.
Well done.
