Drawn thoughts
~~~~~*~~~~~
You drifted
Into my mind today
I tried to keep away
From images of you
For your loveliness
Still dwells
Within the albums
Of my mind.
Thoughts
Of a goddess like face
Draws me
To certain times
Of happier yesterdays
Where an aching heart
Awakened dormant pains
As tears of love fade.
The sensuousness
Of dark mysterious eyes
Once took a toll
Upon a forlorn soul mate’s
Drawn thoughts
Some times things remembered still hurt even after years have gone by. Well expressed.
Why would you want to avoid such memories?
There's a story lingering here that needs to be told...
But so far, so good!
That's a wonderful word for describing that aching feeling that comes from being apart.
I don't agree with Lark, as my girl Rene has maintained her goddess like face for so many years and we have known each other since we were 7 years old...good to have memories either way...-e-
She probably looks very old now, and you would be disappointed in that way. Goddess like faces don't last (except of course for the very rich).
Ah, memories! What we want to recall, we can't. What we don't want to recall is all around us, in a song, the sight of something we once admired together.............God bless you!
Love ya!
