A Heart Beats

Woke at dawn's edge
Prior to the Orange
Gentle glow
Of another day of beauty.

With an achy body
My heart beats
A new rhythm
My soul elated
With thankful prayers.

I breathe normal
Where yesterday
I nought
Without fatigue.

He who creates
And knows all
Has answered mine
And others prayed.

With a mended heart
I am Allowed to once again
Contribute
My unselfish thoughts
To the world.

You will continue to get stronger each day.
Valve replacement and bypasses are just a matter of plumbing.
Now you are good to go for many more years of wonderful, insightful poetry.

Bless you,

William,

It has been many years since I last read your works. I am happy you are on the recovery trail. As usual, a very enjoyable read.

Thanks,

So happy you are breathing much better. I have emphysema, so I understand how fatigued you can get when you labor for breath.
