Dedicated To"Ernie" a dear friend aging along with me, though not a poet per say, he dose utter poetic verses at time within conversations like "We Don't Rub Swords"
We Don't Rub Swords
~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~
We don't rub swords
in the wind
My pen is my sword
My scribes are my
Words of honor
My thoughts
Are my most valued dreams
I wish to share
With the world
As I attempt by
To express
my heartfelt feelings
In a world of misunderstanding.
The battle of Armageddon
Is fought in my mind
As the words
Of the good book
are stowed
In the inner sanctums
Of my soul
For then will be
Our day of judgement.
EVERYBODY 'FIGHTS' THE GOOD FIGHT DIFFERENTLY, BUT IN THE END...WE ALL MUST FACE THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT. WELL DONE, WILLIAMS. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
There are those who believe there will be a judgment and those who don't believe in anything spiritual when we die. It will be too late to say you didn't know.
Can't exactly deal with the "Our day of judgement.," but I do have a great belief in the hereafter, although not exactly as do most people . . . I think you rub your sword mightily these days, William . . .
Early Works is an exhaustive compilation of the first decade of the poems and stories of Z.B.McClure. Included are family photos, rare personal photos, photos of 1st draft manuscripts of many of his early poems. Also some biography and memoir materia
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
