Reaching Hand
~~~*~~~
I was sitting
On a comfortable chair
Relaxing
No one was there
Me alone
Contemplating
Writing a few words
But they weren’t there
Not in my head
Not in my deepest thoughts
Not in my heart
Nor any within my soul.
Glanced out the window
An orangey hue glowed
Converged all over
The wet lands
In my view
of the outside.
Thought it was
The setting sun
Rushed out with my camera
I love sunsets.
It wasn’t the setting sun
To my west
Causing the surrounding glow
I looked straight above
My head.
A huge orange hue cloud
I awed upon
A startling sight
For within its center
A grayish smaller cloud
Shaped like a hand
Reached out towards me.
I’ve always believed
In Him
Knew He resides
Somewhere up there
Was he reaching
Offering a helping hand
Or for my soul?
Interesting photo. Clouds are mystical. A reaching hand or a person rain cloud. Nice read. Ashiff
That is a wonderful photograph, but it takes a whole heap of a lot of imagination to see a hand coming out of it. All I can say brother, is, can you spare a helping hand?
Eh . . . If only you could have taken that "huge orange hue cloud" for what it really was instead of what you thought it was. Still . . . This is your poem and your thoughts and I stand behind you on what you believe you saw . . .
Wow! That is some kind of sign! So cool!
