My heart just dropped
Into the abyss
You were no longer there
To catch it or soften it’s fall.
There’s a tear at the edge
Of my sanity
Wonder I do eternally of you
If you will ever love me,
As you did, that long time ago.
I still dream
Of that beautiful day
When our eyes first met
In that ballroom of happiness.
I reached out to you
As we stared
Into each others souls
For you are still
Incarcerated
Within my most valued
Thoughts
We danced that night
Till the rising sun
Shown within your eyes.
Tell me my darling
If you still think of me
Before I exhale
My last sigh
As upon my lips
I will whisper your name
With a fading goodbye.
It is its sublime emotion that makes its voice mellific... "The Feelings Of Loneliness" sings and leads one to understand the vision of love created by its poetic voice.
An air of melancholy and sadness surrounds the poem and surrounds the reader who reads it. Loneliness does not need to go by any other name other than what it is. You have lifted off its skin to reveal its inner core. Thank you for sharing this emotive, indeed evocative, tone poem on love and loss. John
Your breathtaking poetry speaks of a great loss that never will be recovered. So often this happens as life progresses, especially when the end comes near.
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
