Dreamy Eyes

With dreamy eyes
And awe
Within her mind
She taps away
On the keyboard
Late at night.

Found herself driving
Pass a construction site
Just yesterday
She pause
Spied you working
Ever so hard

Gray Sweatshirt
cut off sleeves
perspiration soaked
A helmet
Protected you there.

What a sight
She memorized
As She heavy sighed
With dreamy eyes.

Anticipating
Once again another
Sensuous encounter
With the love of
Her dreamy eyes
As he takes her there
To where she's
Never been before.

The taps on the keyboard
Were not
For her latest book
But for an email
Addressed to him
Late at night
Within her thoughts
Sealed with the sweet
Womanly scent
Of expectation.

The only problem with email is not its intensity of expression with all kinds of emoticons, but its lack of a scented envelope and letter from which to savor the flavor of dreamy eyes.

You are back in the saddle of steamy relationship once again.

I love this! Reminds me of myself tapping away at the computer until 5 in the morning. And then you add the twist. She wasn't writing a poem or book but a love letter. Perfect.
