“A sighing whisper in the night”

The Sunset

Soon is the sunset
Night is approaching
Darkness will soon
Engulf us within an
Embrace.

I feel your breath
As you sigh my name
Escaping the tenderness
Of your sweet lips.

Allow my lips
To discover yours
Kiss me, Pinch me
awaken me
For I wish this
Not be a dream.

So lovely and romantic, but puzzling in the time frame. As though dreaming, a wish for a kiss "before" sunset, the normal time of sleep and dreams.

The emotion is there, but the twist comes at the end. What a surprise.
