Dedicated to our wonderful family yellow retriever “champ “ who has departed from us today we pray he’s in an Elysian for loving pets as he was
We will miss you our dearest friend
A sad farewell
At 13 years of age
Time has arrived
For the unthinkable
Sad Farewells.
I wish not to think
Of the present
Where outside our door
The reaper awaits
As love ones surround
The Champ.
His days are gone
Becoming memories
Of wonderful time
He left within our hearts.
As he bite his time
Staring into the infinity
Of the Elysian
Awaiting him
Where I pray he’ll reserve
A space for me.
THEY LEAVE BEHIND SUCH WONDERFUL MEMORIES, SO THIS TENDER SHARING IS VERY MUCH UNDERSTOOD, FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. WE HATE TO SEE THEM GO BUT WE WE'RE GLAD THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER SUFFERING FROM THE RAVAGES OF AGE. THANKS FOR SHARING, WILLIAM. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
as is said, all dogs go to heaven. . . a nice tribute to the mankind friends which, no matter what, know how to do their loyalty and duties. Cheers, alex
I am so very touched! The sorrow is deep when a pet is lost but we must remember that he has crossed that Rainbow Bridge to all the waiting dogs wagging their tales.
Having lost my little Jazz a few years ago, I couldn't take the idea of having another dog for a pet. Ironically, last year my brother's golden retriever, Rocky, expired after 14 years. I'm sure he was a comfort to Roger, after Roger lost his wife to an accident five years ago. Maybe Rocky and Champ will meet in those Elysian Fields and run together chasing birds to infinity.
A wonderful poetic tribute to a true friend. We still talk about our Sammy-boy even though he has been gone for over 3 years. I have a picture of him in my "Man-cave" where I recall fond memories that can bring one to tears. I still talk about our Afghan hound with my daughter whom she saved from the pound over 30 yrs. ago. These pets are still a part of our lives. They will be forever while we are still around. One day we home to go to "the other side" and see them once again. I sometimes think God reserves a special place for people who take special care of His animals. After all, He gave us that responsibility in the beginning. Well done William! Amen
I have recently lost my cat, my big boy Pride, so I understand how you feel. Pets that grew up with our kids our whole family grieve when they part with us. I'm still missing my big boy Pride.
