Polution is what you get when you stir it together. Ah for the good old days when you just pulled a leaver to register your vote or maybe it hasn't changed at that. Russians didn't influence my vote one bit. It sounds good when other countries try to influence us and here we let them come in to our country by the tens of thousands. Doesn't that affect some thing come elections.

I will say it is a very sad state were we are in and probably no solution close at hand with all the disfunction and emphasis on disfranchising on both sides. collusion and or obstruction are only the surface.

I am not one to express the finer points of my political beliefs or direction, but let us move on in manner of unbiased co-operation if such a thing still exists. I have been flying the American Flag on my porch for over 30 years, since the day we first moved into our home and my dad came over with flag in hand and set it up. My American Flag flies in support of us all. I will voice one sentiment loudly ... it angers me deeply that we depend on our young (and not so young) men and women to defend and sacrifice for our nation, and yet from the people on The Hill to the people in our local coffee shop, we show our defenders and protectors so much discord and ill-will. Well ... more than I usually allow myself to say ... so nuff said from me.
The true believers and supporters of your poetic thoughts below seem to have overlooked that it is clear that the Russians, primarily through spreading untrue carefully written stories on social media inflamed and appealed to the worst in us during the 2016 election. I didn't like both candidates but discarded most of those stories that people were spreading around that were obviously and grossly mean and untrue. Yet I was shocked with the number of people who believed and continue to believe them. Obstruction of our election process is a very serious matter and law enforcement at all levels is working very hard to clean it up for the 2020 election.
It is no secret that Donald Trump did profitable business in the post Soviet era Russia. Know that he had to engage in the kind of business that oligarchs deal with in that wild west capitalistic environment where bribes, extortion and even, murder are commonplace to get things done. Questions of money laundering are obvious. Political favors, too.
A release of a letter by the Attorney General does not mean it is over. I understand that state authorities in New York are investigating as well. I'm sure that the IRS that was the only authority to bring down Al Capone, is interested in why Donald Trump would not release his income taxes to the American people. But then, Donald Trump is president and can control the IRS because it is under his administration like much of the rest of the government that is not "on the hill." The only check and balance left is the hill.
