A SONNET...TO YOUR SLEEPING BEAUTY! HOW TERRIBLY LOVELY AND TOUCHING! I'VE BEEN A MEMBER OF AD SINCE 2009 AND SINCE THAT TIME, UP UNTIL THE PRESENT...YOU'VE PROVED THAT 'TRUE LOVE' NEVER DIES! AND, AS I'VE TOLD YOU BEFORE, I ENVY YOUR WIFE FOR THE WONDERFUL, FAITHFUL HUSBAND YOU ARE. SUCCULENT AND CONTINUED INSPIRATIONS, MY FRIEND... INDEED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
waking up with sweet love onthe lips is the best way to rouse someone from sleep. and hearing the birds outside singing- just perfect. thank you for this piece.
There was a sad tone in this one. And that's all I can say about it.
You made me recall years ago when I would go out on the back yard and listen to our resident mockingbird singing in the morning. With my failing hearing I can no longer hear his song, only the mournful sound of the mourning doves and white winged doves cooling affectionately to one another.
And now, almost every night, I have to call out loudly, "Wake up, Wake up, Wake up…! Because my partner/caregiver is so sleep deprived that she has a hard time getting up to help me when I need to turn many times during the night. I dread the day when I call and she doesn't wake up.
So I hope it's the other way around so she could be free of me to travel in her retirement.
This is one of the most loving poems I've ever read. I would much prefer waking to this than the cat sitting on my chest, eyes glued imperiously on my face.
LOVE AND PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL
WILLIAM
And a beautiful start to the morning…
Who could resist this heartfelt plea?
