Sunset in the City,
Gray clouds, over casting,
Orange brilliance, of the sun,
Peers Between clouds,
Where blue skies, can be seen.
The river is alfame,
From the reflections,
On rippling waters, moving fast,
Tugboats, sail slowly pass.
The air, is turning gray,
The sun, slowly sinks,
Leaving one, wondering,
As one, wondrously thinks.
Two bridges, in my view,
One, is the Brooklyn,
The other, is painted blue,
From orange skies,
Skyscrapers, steal the view.
Ferry boats and barges,
Distracting, one's view,
Traffic, on the F.D.R,
Humming smoothly by.
The piers below, my kitchen's window
View
At holidays, without activity,
As snow, decorates, their roofs,
Where at one time,
Was displayed a nativity.
Dark clouds,
Robbed, the city,
Of A glorious,
Sunset, over Manhattan.

Of rippling waters, moving fast
With a dry leaf on it
Like a small boat floating
