Winds Of Change

Listen!
Listen, to the Winds Of Change,
What human ears, cannot,
Intercept.

A rosebud, popping open,
Her soft petals, gently unfolds,
Drying it's nectar,
In the warm Spring air.

Listen!
Listen, to the grass growing,
In the silence of the night,
As it's blest, By the morning's dew.

Listen, to the tune,
Of the mockingbird's song,
As she gathers, twigs and grass blades,
Preparing a nest, for it's chicks,
To have a home.

Listen!
Listen, to the aches and pains,
Moans and groans,
As he steps off the bed.

Listen, to him choking,
Gagging,
As phlegm, makes it's way up,
Coughing out of control.

Listen!
Listen, to the Winds Of Change,
As he takes his last breath,
With your final embrace,
You can hear, in his throat,
The rattle of death.

Listen, upon is lips,
He whispers your name,
His eyes glazed,
The final stare, into infinity.
